José Porfírio and Tiago Carrilho, CINet partners from Universidade Aberta, have recently published an Article regarding entrepreneurs in creative industries in Portugal.
The research project Creative Industries Network of Entrepreneurs (CINet) offers a free online course to train and help entrepreneurs who desire to start-up in a creative sector (arts and crafts, architecture, gastronomy, leisure, videogames, advertising, press and media, film and audiovisual activities, public relations and publishing industry, among others).
On January 27th the third issue of the CINet newsletter was launched. The newsletter presented the third meeting, which took place in the Portuguese coastal town of Cascais. The issue also contained two testimonials, and interviews, with Marco Fernandes, director of DNA’s CINet team and host of this third meeting, and with Joseph Hassid, director of UPRC. Finally, it presented the last publications and dissemination activities, as the launch of the definitive CINet website.

Closing Nottingham’s meeting… The 1 st of March was the last day of CINet partners in the city of the Lace Market and the Creative Quarter. Nottingham’s visit was reviewed, further work plan was developed and next CINet meeting was planned for Autumn 2014.

CINet has been promoted, and is coordinated, by the Universidade Aberta, Portugal; and it counts with partners from the UK, Spain, Greece, Romania, Portugal and France. Together, these partners are joining efforts to impact on entrepreneurial training cultures, and offer innovation and networking to creative entrepreneurs in three Southern EU countries: Greece, Portugal, and Spain.
